 CHART 3:  Workloads by type of work

the majority of new commissions workloads are for new build work; the typical split each quarter is about one third refurbishment, two thirds new build (by value)

more than half of work is undertaken using the Traditional form of contract; about a quarter of jobs are carried out using the Design & Build form of contract

about half of practices questioned in the most recent survey expect 'no change' in their workloads over the coming 6 months. The rest are split evenly between increase and decrease

Latest quarter figures suggest workloads may be falling. Only in London and the North does a 'balance' of practices  expect more work. Everywhere else, it's 'no change' or a fall.
