A Labour win at the forthcoming General Election would be the best answer to the construction industry’s woes, according to a survey conducted amongst architects by The Fees Bureau. Over 150 architects gave their candid opinions to The Fees Bureau about who they would vote for, and who would be best for future prospects. The survey was conducted in the week following the Budget amongst architects throughout the UK. The findings suggest the profession is finding it hard to choose between any of the three main political parties. While the Conservatives have the edge overall, Labour is still trusted more than the other parties on the economy. Architects seem to prefer Darling to Osborne or Cable. And architects are clear that Labour’s policies would be the best ones to help – or do least harm – to the beleaguered construction industry. WHO IS BEST FOR UK CONSTRUCTION 47% say Labour would be best for construction, compared with 33% saying Conservatives with Liberal Democrats trailing at 14% |
